We are scheduled to meet for breakfast at 9 but another surprise visit at 8:30. We met for breakfast and an update on the weather forecast. The wind was expected to reach force 6-7 and as it was coming from the south west it could cause some confused water as it travelled around the island. Only 4 hardy souls risked going out even with surprised looks from the sailor who were remaining on shore today. We set out into the strong wind and the sea built up to 1.5 metre waves (which Sarah increased to 10 metres after a few glasses of wine). The water was still warm which gave Sarah a chance to show her skills in being rescued. The wind occasionally came in short bursts but never came to the force 6 that was expected. We paddled on close to the shore and all met up for lunch. After lunch it was a short paddle back up the inlet to our exit point of Vathi. We arrived at an early 3:30 having paddled 7.5nm.
