Day 3 Mon 12th October

We are looking forward to a long lie and a trip around Fiskardo before lunch on the patio. The plan is to have a short afternoon's paddle. That is all shattered with Pavlos knocking at the door at 8:15. Change of plans and we are to meet at 8:30. The wind was picking up and he had decided that we would need to make the crossing to Ithaca today. It was set out at 9:30 and we managed to launch just before 10. The crossing was about 1.8nm We stopped for a swim break and the thunder storms caught up with us. We paddled on and stopped for lunch at 2 with the wind and rain blowing through. Hiding under a tree gave very little shelter but by the time lunch was ready the sun was back out. We paddled on to Kioni arriving at 4:30 having covered 10.5nm..
